We all love it when new information is helping us to become smarter, deeper, more interesting, and just learn new ways to understand the problem.

In this article I have collected only the best, in my opinion, works of various authors from the field of psychology, philosophy and other related areas.

just note that I don't really like to read since childhood, so I'm looking for a book that could interest me and inspire. Such meaningful books I read rather slowly, comprehending written and comparing it with their experiences, analyze and often discuss the reading with other people. If reading does not bring me new vision, sensation, awareness of the world - a book I prefer to ignore whatever she responses evoked from other people.

Books from the list below found such a deep echo in my soul, that without exaggerating, I can say that they positively changed my personality, freed from prejudices of the past, primitive stereotypes of the present and fear of the future.

the List I put as the complexity of information presentation that does not detract from the dignity and depth of each book. By the way, in one of the following works, I learned that the word "information" means the information that we get from outside, and the process of forming, shaping.

in Other words, we are what we eat: in the physical sense is about the food, and psychological - about the information we consume.

In the information age, it is especially important to eat right.

All books are written by recognized authors, other works which are also a cause of respect, but my subjective choice fell on these works as more significant.

so, here these masterpieces.

1. Elena Mogilev - Ship "Family happiness". Simple and clear language described the truths of the construction of a Mature family relationships, the pitfalls and popular scenarios. Especially recommended for young couples and people who feel a strong dependence on parents.

2. Erich Fromm "Escape from freedom". In our "free" time, where there are many possibilities, the unconscious trends of the past forced us to seek new owners, quietly subordinating our will to them. As a result, we have an empty, meaningless, "not his" life. Fromm offers not only analysis, but also the way out of this unpleasant conflict.

3. Lucius Seneca - "Letters to Lucilius". I would call this practical philosophy. It helps to live and to prioritize. Collected here are the best practices of the ancient experience of understanding the psychic reality on the verge of the Stoics and Epicureans. May be of interest to Teens.

4. Sigmund Freud "the Dissatisfaction in culture". Here without too much psychoanalytical subtleties described the inevitability of the origin of neurosis in human civilization, mechanisms of psychological protection and the inertia of thinking, that these results. After reading the book I realized the mental anguish of Hitler and could feel him sympathetic.

5. Osho Rajneesh - "the Wisdom of the Sufis". This book is a challenge to many religious, social and other stereotypes that limit our opportunities for spiritual growth. Recommend not all, can cause very violent emotions of protest.

6. Fyodor Dostoevsky - "the Brothers Karamazov". the author Himself considered this work the best in your writing career and died shortly after the book was published. I agree with him. The strongest penetration into the depths of existentialism, guilt and responsibility, love and duty, fees and retribution, the peculiarities of the Russian mentality - in my view is simply unique.

7. Jean Liedloff – "How to raise a child happy." For the trivial name hides a profound analysis of the parent-child relationship. The fact that the author lived in the wild Indian tribes of the Amazon about five years only in order to understand how to raise a child without neurosis in our "developed" society - a fact that speaks to the deepest motivations of the author.

8. Nancy McWilliams - "Psychoanalytic psychodiagnostics". Though it is formally a textbook for beginning therapists, this book presents a unique and wonderful classification of the nature of man, which proceeds from the deep perspective of each. Everything is described concisely, but in detail, including the practical treatment guidance.

9. Friedrich Nietzsche - thus spoke Zarathustra. This is svoebrazny the Bible for modern man, keenly feeling the need of inner spiritual transformation. Written complicated, allegorical, but deeply so that the author could not resist the depth of their discoveries.

10. Rollo may's "Love and freedom". In my opinion we, the modern humanity is the hardest and most important of all given the areas of love and will. The author details, the bones of what many here are afraid to take. He developed the idea of the above-mentioned Freud, Fromm, Dostoevsky, Eastern and ancient sages. And all that skilful quintessence is considering the reader, you only need to admit it to myself.

Thank you!

Alexander
